IVF Gas Generators

Apex IVF generators

News Flash

IVf Generators can now be seth up with constant percentage of Oxygen with the nitrogen.  Includes Oxygen content analyzer and alarms

Apex’s range of high purity Nitrogen Generators present a particularly useful solution for producing the controlled atmosphere required for IVF incubators.
As such Apex now offer a range of Generators specifically designed for this application all of which feature integrated compressors for stand alone operation and additional buffer tanks to deal with the surge of nitrogen demand created by opening an incubator or purge cycles.
Once installed our generators can be left to work away with only minimal regular maintenance required and offer service lives of up to 10 years.

Why use a Generator Instead of Gas Cylinders?

Compared to using bottles or cylinders of Nitrogen a gas generator offers several notable benefits:
The First is cost, compared to the price of buying gas canisters a Nitrogen generator offers significant savings which will on pay off the purchase price of the generation on average within 9 months.
The Second set of benefits relates to health and safety. With a generator you have no requirement to move or secure heavy and bulky gas cylinders, no high pressure gas connections to be made and checked, no risks of high pressure leaks and no chance of leaks or accidents releasing enough nitrogen to be dangerous.
A Nitrogen Generator is an inherently safe device that is essentially “plug and play” in that once connected it can be left and trusted to work safely and reliably.

HOW WOULD A NITROGEN GENERATOR WORK IN AN IVF LAB?

Typically a Nitrogen Generator would be connected to a Incubator or bank of Incubator by a gas distributer that also connects an emergency supply of Nitrogen that will switch in whenever the generator stops providing Nitrogen such as during routine maintenance.
Apex’s Specialist IVF generators include integral additional buffer tanks that are filled gradually to provide a large surge of nitrogen whenever the connected Incubators require to be purged. The use of buffer tanks allows one smaller and more economical generator to support several incubators or a single large unit.
As an option the integral buffer tank capacity can be expanded by the addition of a number of extra modular tanks.
